This is a 3 day hash! Friday October 23 to 25!
Friday - similar to a normal Saturday ride, approximately 40 kms, a mixture of forested trails and open pineapple plantations, with some technical sections.
Saturday is similar to Friday both have a down hill section, which will also means some climbing too.
Make sure you give yourself enough time for travel, the ride off for both Friday and Saturday rides will be at 12.30 pm. Both rides will have short cut options from the water stops.
There will be a short, (approximately 15 km), optional non technical warm up ride on Saturday morning. A continuous paper trail will be laid, no checks or water stops, and no official ride off time, start at your leisure.
The Sawang / Kao Yoi area is well known for its thawns and therefore long sleeves are recommended, two spare inner tubes, if you are not running tubeless tyres, along with a repair kit. There are very few shops and therefore it's important to start with a minimum of two litres of water.
The Sunday ride will be a kid / family friendly ride, with FRB options.
From downtown Bangkok, take any expressway in the direction of Dao Khanong and take Rama 6 bridge across the river. Continue on highway 35 until the end (just past KM-marker 83) and exit left to highway 4, direction Phetburi (going south). Zero odometer when exiting 35 to go on 4 and follow instructions below.
The drive should take 1.5 hrs, this is dependent on the time you leave and can take longer.
It is possibly worth checking google to get a better estimate, so there are no surprises.
